We're hangin' with the girls that look like boys alright. Girls will be girls, who like girls, who dress like boys, and start up fights. We're hangin' with the boys that look like girls tonight. Boys will be boys, who like boys, who dress like girls, and that's alright. (so c'mon c'mon c'mon) Don't make me put 'em up, Don't make me put 'em up. Don't make me put 'em up, Don't make me put 'em up. 'Cause the bed that you're building, is the one you gonna sleep in. Who gave you the right to, judge another's lover? Now's the time for changing, So keep the hate from creepin' in. I don't care if you're a Christian, or a Hare Krishna. You lookin' for redemption, I bring that old fashioned healin'. If my mother had her way her, son would be a preacher.

You lookin' for redemption, Were bringin' that old fashioned healin' Don't make me put 'em up, Don't make me put 'em up. But that judgement, as used for a review, interjects a lot of subjectivity. They said when I was young I, had some kind of sickness. And as several have pointed out '76 is a good year, lots of songs played at a slower pace. Note that it's totally fine to be enamored with the fact that this show kicks off a new year. Playin' is great though, well-defined Slipknot! teases. But the band does get sloppy in some songs (TLEO comes to mind). 3 stars.Ĭoncert Playing: It's apparent that there has been a layoff, and sometimes that can produce gems of songs. I've heard better SBD's, and I've heard worse. There are mixing problems, in several songs it is very hard to hear the microphones (singing) in other parts the singing is overwhelming (Beat It On Down The Line) the recording has a muffled sound to it (as if the high frequencies were squeezed out). Read about put em up by NorE neptunes and see the artwork, lyrics and similar artists. Other than that it's an unremarkable SBD. Read about put em up by NorE neptunes and see the artwork, lyrics and similar artists. The positive highlight is you can actually hear the crowd more than other SBD's. Recording Quality: For a soundboard it's slightly above average. Just because it's the first show of '74 and it's a new era doesn't in-of-itself justify a 5 star rating. These reviews best serve the populace if they only judge the quality of the recording and musical performance, not how important it is in the history of the Dead. Someone said something about shows from 76, as far as having a distinctively fresh and different sound, and I kind of see this show as having a bit of that character. but when they hit their stride, it sounds niiiice and fresh. You can definitely hear that it's a little awkward at moments, like when it comes time to end a song and not everyone realizes it, but to me those moments add to the character of the show and bring the Boys a little closer to earth as we see that they're not magicians, they're rusty after a break just like you or me would be. Go to a message board or something for that.Īnd with regard to the show, I really dig it. Put em up put em up (up) Get your set and put em up put em up (up) Get your fingers put em up put em up (up) Get your rag and put em up put em up (up) Man. so I apologize to everyone for going on and on and not even mentioning the show yet, but I wanted to point out how counterproductive it is to make off-topic posts. I get em up get em up (up) I get them hoes and put em up (up) I'm here with N-O-R-E. and to me it seems awfully presumptuous of you to assume that we're all democrats, or that we care at all about why the democrats can't get elected (according to your expert deadhead/politico opinion).Īnd then stuff like this happens: people like me post in response to your off-topic and off-color comments, and then someone will respond to me, and before you know it only one out of every ten "reviews" will have anything at all to do with the show. St Heathen: seriously, who consults a deadbase for political opinions?.
